Standard English, Study Holiday Programme, 2 weeks, 2017.06.30- .07.14., 20 lessons of 45 minutes,

Participant: Zsuzsanna Varga

From 30th June to 14th July 2017 I spent two weeks in Malta with ERASMUS+ Teacher Training Mobility attending an English language course at Maltalingua School of English.

My aim was to increase my English language knowledge that I will use in my educational practice.

On the first morning we had to complete a 50-minute level-examination test and then we were divided into different groups according to the results. I was put into group A2-B1.

We were ten students in our group, from other countries. So I had two ways of communication: the English and the smile.

We had four lessons every day and two teachers were with us every morning. The explanation of teachers helped my studying.

During the lessons we had chance to speak with each other, with the teachers, to learn and practise the grammar and situations. We often work in pairs and in smaller groups.

We learned new syllabuses every day. Two times a week we have received the list of the words and grammar summary. We got homework twice or three times a week. We had to learn at home almost every day.

We had to learn them, because on both Fridays we had to complete the test.

In the free time I looked at the city, more parts of the country, swam in the sea and tasted the special regional foods. During I could practise the language too.

I am very happy because I could take part in the course.

Since I have arrived home, I learn the English language every day. I have decided I am going to take an English intermediate level oral exam and I will use my knowledge every day in my educational practice.
